<p> Myanmar Nurse and Midwife Council (MNMC) in collaboration with Kayin State Nursing and Midwifery Supervisory Team, with the support of Abbott Nutrition conducted the Ethical and Professional Talk at Nursing Training School on 25 January 2020.  Speaker of Kayin State Parliament delivered the opening speech. Minister of Social Affairs of Kayin State Government addressed the opening remarks. Head of the Kayin State Public Health Department addressed the welcoming remarks.

Daw Nwe Nwe Khin, President of MNMC provided a brief introduction about Myanmar Nurse and Midwife Council and Continuing Professional Development. Professor Daw Hla Hla Aye explained the Mutual Recognition Arrangement. Dr Kyawt Kyawt Swe presented Code of Ethics, and Nursing and Midwifery Professional Conduct. The talk was followed by a panel discussion on the role of nurses in the management of nutrition, conducted by Professor Zaw Min Oo from University of Medicine II, Associate Professor Hein Yarzar Aung from University of Medicine I and Sister Daw Than Than Htay. The panel discussion was led by moderator Professor Zaw Lin Aung from University of Medicine I.

Present at the occasion were responsible personnel from Kayin State Public Health Department, members of Kayin State Nursing and Midwifery Supervisory Team, members of Hpa An, Hpapun, Myawaddy and kawkareik district Nursing and Midwifery Supervisory Teams,  matrons and nurses from private and public hospitals, senior principals, principals, teaching staff and students of Nursing and Midwifery Training Schools and retired nurses in Hpa An. Questions raised by audience were responded by the MNMC president and responsible person. A total of about 300 participants attended the event. </p>
